hi! I’m Navie.
I’m a queer, Latina photographer based in the Pacific Northwest. I document love, life, and everything in between: portraits, elopements, weddings, babies, branding, quiet mornings, messy joy, small magic.
My style is rooted in form and story, the shape of a moment and the feeling it leaves behind. I want your photos to feel lived-in, full of texture, movement, and truth. No awkward poses, no forced smiles. Just realness and connection, seen through an artist’s lens.
I shoot with Nikon, Sony, Polaroid, and other film types. My style is collaborative and intuitive. I’ll give you gentle direction when you need it, but mostly I’m here to make space for you to be fully, beautifully you.
Outside of photography, I’ve got a background in psychology and public health, and I support healing and transformation as a psilocybin facilitator. Everything I aim to do is about showing up for the full spectrum of being human.
If you’re into that let’s make something cool ( and maybe a little weird ) together.
xoxo.

The Little Details
I live in a tiny home (and I LOVE to geek out and talk about it).
I’m a mommy. Mamacita? Iykyk. Jokes aside, I have a school-aged kid who is sassy and hilarious!
I am into all things dark, twisty, and spooky so naturally I have two black cats so I can live out my witchy dreams.
I am an avid reader/consumer of audiobooks. Tell me your favorite, I will absolutely add it to my TBR list!
I’m a neurodivergent cutie, ayyy. What flavor of neurodivergent are you?
The most random fact about me: In fifth grade, I performed Spice Up Your Life as Sporty Spice at the talent show (I know, such a diva) and then we were recruited to perform for kids birthday parties. LOL. What?!

Candid, low-pressure, and human. I’m not here to force poses or make you do awkward hand stuff. I’ll guide you when you need it, but mostly I’m catching the little moments. The side glances, nervous laughs, cozy quiet moments. It’s part documentary, part chill hangout, part art. Basically: you show up, be yourself, and I’ll handle the rest.

I shoot on a Nikon D700 (full frame), usually with a 50mm or 35mm lens. I also use a Sony XT2 when I want something lighter and quicker. For fun (and feelings), I always bring a Polaroid because who doesn’t love the nostalgia of instant film? I have recently been dabbling in other film mediums and I would be overjoyed to throw a bonus camera into our session for fun.

Adding in this FAQ because I believe in transparency and working with individuals who align with your values.
I believe Black lives matter, we are on stolen land, there is no such thing as an illegal human. I believe there is an ongoing genocide in Gaza and that Palestine should be free. I believe in respecting your identity and fiercely protecting LGBTQ+ rights. I believe we are in an ongoing pandemic and continue to mask to protect my community. I believe in accessibility and social equity - for us here, this means I want to work with you and your needs. Payment plan or sliding scale? Have a skill you want to share/trade services? Lets do it.
If you have any questions about where I stand on any issue, let’s talk about it.
Queer eyes. Soft lens. Full heart.
Health & Safety Note.
I am a covid-aware photographer and part of how I show up for my community is by caring for collective health and access.
What does that mean for you?
Simply that I’ll be wearing a respirator during events or sessions — not because I expect anything from you, but because it’s how I keep myself and others safer. I want everyone to feel comfortable, included, and cared for in the space we’re creating together.
And also, I look like a baddie in my mask. ;)
